This document outlines all of the supported and unsupported files and uses cases for previewing data.

Supported File Types

• .docx

• .dwg

• .dxf

• .gif

• .jpg

• .pdf

• .png

• .ppt

• .pptx

  • NOTE: The PPTX format is based on the Microsoft PowerPoint open XML presentation file format

• .tiff

• .txt

• .vdx

• .vsdm

• .vsdx

• .vssm

• .vsx

• .vssx

• .vstm

• .vstx

• .vtx

• .xls

  • NOTE: Excel 95/5.0 - 2003 Workbook; only files newer than Excel 3.0

• .xlsx

  • NOTE: Office Open XML SpreadsheetML Workbook or template file, with or without macros

Unsupported Files and Use cases

• Temporary documents: (Usually designated with a “~” before the file name in the file path)

• Password protected documents

• Corrupted documents

• Documents with improper file type designations
