Sharepoint settings
Discovery Search can connect to indices created from SharePoint® 2010 and 2013 On-Premises deployments. A prerequisite for integration with Discovery Search is the configuration of Kerberos Double Hop Authentication. Refer to https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/36411.share-point-20132016-web-application-configuring-kerberos-authentication.aspx for more information.
Configure Discovery Search
Enter the SharePoint site address in SharePoint site URL
Update the number of index items that are permission checked upon retrieval from the index in Permission chunk size
Save changes
Restart the Discovery Search application in IIS
Test the Configuration
This section describes how to test the integration of Discovery Search with SharePoint On-Premises.
An index of the SharePoint data must exist before Discovery Search can be used to find documents. Ensure a crawl with Shinydocs™ Cognitive Toolkit against the SharePoint instance has been completed before testing.
Navigate to the Discovery Search homepage
Execute a search from the Discovery Search bar for items that are in your instance of SharePoint On-Premises
If expected items are returned by Discovery Search, the configuration is successful!
