Shinydocs Pro 3.0.0 (September 2023) Release Notes
Shinydocs Pro 3.0.0 is the first publicly available release for the Pro package! The complete contents of the release include both Shinydocs Pro 3.0.0 (including Cognitive Suite CLI) as well as Shinydocs Enterprise Search 1.11.2.
What’s New?
Shinydocs Pro 3.0.0 includes the following key features:
Easy Installation: The Shinydocs Pro installer will install all dependencies: OpenSearch, the Extraction service, the Command Line Interface (CLI), and the Web User Interface.
Easy Interface: The Shinydocs interface allows users to easily ingest, search and visualize their data in easy-to-use and completely re-designed dashboards.
OpenSearch Support: Shinydocs Pro is the first version of Shinydocs software to support OpenSearch. Shinydocs supports the use of OpenSearch 2.9 or 2.10. OpenSearch 2.10 is recommended. Shinydocs will continue to support the use of ElasticSearch 6.8 through 2023. However, formal support for ElasticSearch is expected to end in 2024. Specific details to be provided at a later date.
Enterprise Search License Checking: If Shinydocs Pro is installed, Shinydocs Enterprise Search will call the API to verify the license is valid on startup and every 24 hours. If the is not installed then a license file (*.xml) will need to be added for search to find in the following directory %ProgramData%\Shinydocs\Search\License
Known Issues
This release of Shinydocs Pro was certified for use with network drives and file shares only. However, other previously released connectors are expected to behave correctly and are supported in this release.
Shinydocs Enterprise Search is not part of the installer for this release but this will be included in a future release.
Shinydocs Enterprise Search will only show data from the latest dataset in the Shinydocs Pro Platform. Customers who are not using the new UI may continue to use multiple indexes without issue.
Uninstalling the Shinydocs will not remove the Windows service in addition to some other files that should be removed manually.
