Shinydrive Server + Client July 2019/2.4.2.4 Release Notes

  • Forbidden List Now Blocks Editing: Previously, “forbidden” files were blocked for uploading to your ECM, but were not blocked from editing if the file already existed on your ECM. With this change, these files are also now blocked for editing as well. (Ref: SD-3726)

  • Documentum – Version Saving Support: When using Shinydrive with Documentum, when saving a file, the user now has the option to select minor version (x.1), same version or major version (x.0). (Ref: SD-3496)

  • HPEL – Ability to Update Root ID after Sync: For HPEL, after performing a Sync, you are now able to change a drives Root ID, if required. (Ref: SD-3709)

  • Documentum – New Configuration Options: When using Shinydrive with Documentum, an Administrator can now set a default first version numbering for new documents. An Administrator can also set a new/different default CURRENT document label. (Ref: SD-3711)

  • Content Server – Copy Document/Folder URL Path SmartView UI Support: In support of Content Server SmartView UI (added in CS 16.2), you are able to change the Copy Document or Folder URL Path in order to work with that new interface. For details on how to set either of these values, please see our Help Desk. (Ref: SD-3714)

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue with when using Shinydrive with Documentum – when saving a file, the upload sometimes did not close the session. (Ref: SD-3514)

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue with the “Properties” Window failing to open then used with Documentum. (Ref: SD-3727)

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where the Shinydrive Server Dashboard page was sometimes blank. (Ref: SD-3735)

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where users could not connect to Content Server (503 Service Unavailable error) when it is deployed though IIS and their Tomcat is running Shinydrive Server on a separate machine. (Ref: SD-3785)

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where uploading a 0 byte file into Documentum sometimes resulted in the file being displayed as a folder. (Ref: SD-3802)

  • Improved Deleted Items: Note that with this release, deleted items are pretty much immediately deleted on the ECM (as fast as the network call goes through). (Ref: SD-3755)

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where AutoRetry was not working in certain circumstances. (Ref: SD-3624)

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where deleted items were not remembered properly between Shinydrive sessions. (Ref: SD-3730)

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue with multiple edits to a document while in offline mode. (Ref: SD-3731)

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue with Shinydrive sometimes crashing when navigating a huge folder structure. (Ref: SD-3733, 3787)

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue with dragging-and-dropping in a large number of files into Shinydrive, where the number of files displayed when finished is off by a few entries. (Ref: SD-3722)

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where uploading a file to the root of a Content Server Personal Workspace could cause Shinydrive to crash. (Ref: SD-3791)

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where “error copying content to stream” was sometimes reported when returning to online mode with pending items. (Ref: SD-3795)
