Installing Shinydrive Client Add-ins

Following the restart of your machine, you will be prompted to log into the Shinydrive Client.

BEFORE logging in to the Shinydrive client, we recommend you install the following add-ins to get the best experience from your Shinydrive software:

• ShinyAppFinder Add-in

• Shinydrive Office Add-in

• Shinydrive Outlook Add-in

1. Within your extracted Shinydrive Suite folder, navigate to windows > installers. Select either the 32-bit or 64-bit folder, depending on your machine.

2. To begin installing , open a Windows Command Prompt as an Administrator.

3. Change directory to where the installer is located by copying and pasting the path of the installer at the Command Prompt:

   CODE

   cd C:\Users\Administrator\shinydrive-suite\windows\installers\64

4. Press Enter.

Installing ShinyAppFinder 

Documentum and Content Server, allow files to be added without an extension. ShinyAppFinder determines which application the files should be opened with and allows them to be opened using Shinydrive.

1. At the command prompt, begin typing out the name of the appropriate MSI file or press the Tab button on your keyboard until the appropriate file appears: ShinyAppFinderMSI32.msi or ShinyAppFinderMSI64.msi

2. Press Enter.

3. ShinyAppFinder add-on is installed!

Installing Shinydrive Office add-on

The Shinydrive Office add-on allows users to reserve files while editing any Microsoft Office file. 

1. At the command prompt, begin typing out the name of the appropriate MSI file or press the Tab button on your keyboard until the appropriate file appears: ShinydriveOfficeMSI32.msi or ShinydriveOfficeMSI64.msi

2. Press Enter.

3. Shinydrive Office add-on is installed!

Installing Shinydrive Outlook add-on

1. At the command prompt, begin typing out the name of the appropriate MSI file or press the Tab button on your keyboard until the appropriate file appears: ShinydriveOutlookMSI32.msi or ShinydriveOutlookMSI64.msi

2. Press Enter.

3. Shinydrive Outlook add-on is installed!

Users are required to RESTART their machine once the desired add-ons have been installed. This restart is not prompted.
