Shinydocs Pro 24.5.0 (June 2024)
The complete contents of the release include both Shinydocs Pro 24.5.0 (including Cognitive Suite CLI) as well as Shinydocs Enterprise Search 24.5.0.
What's New?
Shinydocs Pro 24.5.0 includes the following key features:
NetDocuments support in the Shinydocs Control Center: This version of Shinydocs Pro offers support for NetDocuments in the Shinydocs Control Center. Please note that full support for NetDocuments in Shinydocs Enterprise Search is scheduled for a later release.
Improved end user experience in the Shinydocs Control Center: This version of Shinydocs Pro includes a number of significant improvements for the end user experience, including:
Users can now click on any duplicate in the Data Catalog to see all duplicates for the file
Users will experience streamlined workflows when adding new Content Sources and filtering the view within the Data Catalog
Users can take advantage of better support for small screens, such as mobile devices or tablets
Support for Canadian English
Windows menu shortcuts to the Shinydocs Control Center and the Shinydocs Help Desk have been added to the install process.
iManage improvements: Significant improvements have been made to crawling performance and resiliency for the iManage connector. In addition, the Shinydocs dispose functionality has been added to the CLI.
Database Import tool: Shinydocs Pro now ships with a new ODBC tool for importing databases into the CLI. This will be of particular use for organizations interested in importing data from structured data sources, such as ERP or CRM systems, in order to query for PII or other items of interest.
Logging and error-handling Improvements: Significant improvements in the logging of Shinydocs Pro have been added for both the Control Center and Extraction Service.
Shinydocs API documentation: For partners interested in extending Shinydocs Pro’s capabilities, Shinydocs API documentation is now available in Control Center at the /api/ path.

Shinydocs Control Center will offer a better user experience if the Shinydocs Search Engine is offline
Additional Notes:
The Shinydocs Extraction Service MaxFileSize is now configurable. Previously it was 2GB, now it’s 100MB by default and can be configured between 10MB and 2GB. A lower value will improve text extraction performance and reduce timeouts. MaxRequestSize and FileSizeThreshold are now configurable as well at C:\Program Files\Shinydocs Professional\ExtractionService\service.config
The Shinydocs Search Engine and Shinydocs Dashboards will no longer try to install if the same version is already installed
